The design brief was to design a residential house that blends naturally into its environment. Our concept was to tie into the natural terrain through careful material selection, the main component, sandstone which is locally sourced gave us an opportunity to visually and textually blend with the environment. We contrasted this with a white stucco palette to bring visual interest, and as for the animals, as designers we always live in an imaginary world. How would it look like if we all existed harmoniously?
