Murrani is an Architectural Design Studio based in New York City with roots from Nairobi, Kenya.
A little about me;
I am an architectural designer with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and Seven years of experience working on projects of various scales across the globe, including residential and commercial towers, mixed-use developments, repositioning projects, and institutional buildings from world renowned offices such as KPF and NBBJ.
My approach to architecture is driven by a deep commitment to sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and innovation. I believe that the built environment should not only respond to contemporary advancements but also respect the cultural and environmental contexts in which it exists. Every project I work on is an opportunity to create spaces that enhance human well-being while contributing to a more responsible and forward-thinking future.
With expertise in design and visualization, shaped by my artistic background, I translate complex ideas into impactful architectural solutions. My technical foundation ensures I understand how buildings come together, allowing me to bridge the gap between concept and execution. I am proficient in industry-standard software which enables me to develop and communicate design concepts with precision.
Beyond technical expertise, I bring a natural ability to collaborate and adapt, having worked across diverse teams and project environments. I value continuous learning and leadership, drawing insights from the experiences of great leaders to refine my approach to design, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing soccer and running—both of which reinforce discipline, endurance, and strategic thinking, qualities that influence my professional life as well.
I’m always open to discussions on leadership, architecture, sustainability, and design innovation. Let’s connect.
